IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) (www.ieee.org) publishes several monthly journals to address the needs of the practitioner and researcher in the field: For instance, The IEEE computer magazine, published special issues on Multiprocessor SOC (System-on-Chip) and Software Development, in July 2005 and September 2005, respectively. IEEE Design & Test published a special issue on Networks on Chips in September/October 2005. Most universities have on-line access to these and other journals.
